Working Principle

 
The operation of the SKS Collet relies on the mechanical interaction between its outer tapered surface, the matching inner taper of the tool holder, and the clamping nut:

Axial to Radial Conversion: When the clamping nut is tightened onto the tool holder, it exerts an axial thrust force pushing the SKS Collet deeper into the matching tapered bore of the holder.

Uniform Compression: Due to the precision-engineered taper angle and alternating slots along the body, the axial force is transformed into a uniform radial inward force.

Secure Locking: The inner diameter of the SKS Collet uniformly contracts around the tool shank (such as an end mill or drill), locking it securely with 360-degree frictional grip while maintaining perfect coaxial alignment with the spindle axis.
