Product Features

01/

The VSD Series Precision Vises are manufactured from high-quality alloy steel using a one-piece molding process. Following a quenching and hardening treatment, the hardness reaches HRC 52°–58°, ensuring exceptional robustness, wear resistance, and durability. High-precision overall grinding ensures a parallelism of 0.004 mm/100 mm and a perpendicularity of 0.006 mm/100 mm, guaranteeing precise workpiece clamping.

02/

The movable jaw features a deep V-groove cross-slide design, which effectively enhances clamping force and stability while allowing for simple and rapid operation. The locking mechanism incorporates a minimal-clearance structural design and a hexagonal wrench access port; this allows for the use of a hex wrench to further increase clamping force and facilitates the easy removal of worn lead screws.

03/

With all four sides precision-ground, the vise maintains high accuracy whether positioned horizontally, vertically, or flat. During operation, there is no need for parallels or eccentric bars; workpiece clamping is both rapid and stable. The base is equipped with T-slots and locating keyways, ensuring quick installation and precise positioning on the machine table. These vises are primarily utilized on surface grinders, milling machines, EDM equipment, wire-cut machines, and for precision inspection applications.

Maintenance and Care

It is recommended to promptly remove iron chips, oil stains, and dust from the surface and crevices of the vise after each use, paying particular attention to areas such as the lead screw and guide rails. A soft-bristled brush or compressed air may be used for cleaning; avoid using hard objects that could scratch the precision-ground surfaces. Additionally, maintain the coolant concentration at the correct percentage to prevent corrosion, and apply a thin coating of rust inhibitor to all machined surfaces.

1. Moving components

Such as the lead screw, nut, and guide rails-should be lubricated every 10 to 20 hours of operation using lithium-based grease or specialized machine tool guide oil. Manually open and close the vise jaws several times to ensure the lubricant fully penetrates the moving parts. A comprehensive monthly inspection is recommended: check the jaws for unevenness or chipping, verify that the lead screw operates smoothly, and ensure that the base mounting bolts are secure.

2. Promptly repair or replace any worn components.

The vise should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment; for long-term storage, apply a rust-preventive oil and cover the unit with a dust cover to protect it from moisture. Proper maintenance ensures the long-term preservation of high precision and stability.
