Face Mill Holder

This product is a high-precision Face Mill Holder designed specifically for CNC machine tools. Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel, it is hardened and precision-ground to provide extremely high concentricity and rigidity. The main body of the holder is a taper shank (CAT or BT type in this image) for precise fit with the machine spindle. The nose end features a dedicated mating surface and threaded hole for direct mounting of a face mill cutter. Key features include the visible black clamping screw on the side (for radial locking or securing) and the drive key slots on the face (for transmitting powerful torque), ensuring stability and safety of the tool under high-speed and heavy-duty cutting conditions.

The Face Mill Holder serves as a precision interface connecting the machine tool spindle to the face mill cutter. Its operation involves the following key steps:

Installation and Clamping: The taper shank is inserted into the machine spindle taper bore and securely pulled into the spindle by the machine's drawbar mechanism (pull stud). Simultaneously, the face mill cutter is mounted onto the holder's front pilot surface and securely fastened into the holder's threaded hole using bolts.

Power Transmission: The machine spindle rotates, transmitting the rotational power directly to the face mill cutter through the friction of the taper shank and the drive keys on the holder's nose (for high-torque transmission).

Executing Cutting: The rotating cutting inserts on the face mill perform high-speed face milling on the workpiece surface under the simultaneous control of the machine's X, Y, and Z axes, removing excess material to achieve the required surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
