Working Principle
The SKS High Speed Collet Chuck operates on the principle of mechanical taper compression and elastic contraction:
Tool Insertion: Place the matched high-precision elastic collet into the locking nut, then insert the tool shank into the inner bore of the collet.
Tightening the Nut: Rotate the locking nut using a specialized wrench. The internal taper of the nut and the external taper of the collet generate a relative squeezing force.
Uniform Concentric Contraction: As the nut is tightened, the outer force compels the outer-tapered, inner-cylindrical elastic collet to undergo uniform inward contraction.
Secure Clamping: The inner bore of the collet grips and tightly locks onto the tool shank across a 360-degree perimeter, achieving high-precision, highly stable power transmission and cutting operation.
