Utilizing a high-toughness carbide substrate combined with advanced PVD nano-coatings and optimized MM (semi-finishing) and MQ (finishing) chipbreakers, these inserts deliver smooth chip breaking, reduce heat generation, and minimize built-up edge (BUE) formation.

1.Negative Geometry for Structural Strength
Principle :Negative inserts (0 ∘primary clearance angle) feature a thicker wedge angle behind the cutting edge when mounted in the toolholder.
Effect: Provides superior edge toughness, allowing the insert to withstand heavy cutting forces and thermal shocks when machining work-hardened stainless steel without chipping.
2.Chipbreaker Deformation & Breaking
Principle:As the insert cuts into the workpiece, the chip flows along the rake face. The specifically engineered MM/MQ ridges and grooves force the chip to deform and curl.
Effect: When the bending stress inside the chip exceeds its tensile strength, it breaks into small, manageable curls, preventing long, continuous chips from wrapping around the tool or workpiece.
3.PVD Coating Thermal & Friction Barrier
Principle: Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) applies a micro-thin, high-hardness ceramic layer (such as TiAlN/AlTiN) to the carbide substrate.
Effect:Reduces friction during high-speed cutting and acts as a thermal barrier, preventing crater wear and eliminating the formation of built-up edge (BUE).
